On "Crowe Valley Blues"
As I work on recording the vocals for this album I have really done alot of reflection and examination of what I’ve written and essentially what this album is really about.
During the writing process I generally start by listening to the rough tracks the guys give me and kind of try to open my mind and let the song come to me, I don’t pursue the song…I don’t force anything. Most of the time it is just a small fleeting emotion that I feel immediately when I listen to the instrumental. It’s like an intuitive particle that jumps forth from my sub-concious. If I am able to identify/grasp this idea or emotion….I feel like I have found the raw material needed to construct something that is very sincere, personal and real. Something that is a part of who I am which is forged by life’s experiences. Sometimes it’s pain or aggression..sometimes something I’m yearning for deep down inside and may not even be aware of it.

Heh heh, those crazy russians.
They apparently love us over there. Or, at least enough to pirate and post our album for free download. I trolled through some of their posts with the help of Google’s translation. The comments are all positive – maybe we need to make our way over there.

As an aside, we’ve sold quite a few CDs to fans in France, Germany, and Italy. Man, we need a european tour!
Anyways, the russian poster going by “Stonezilla” seems to dig us enough to put effort into getting us out there in the eastern bloc. Cheers, Stonezilla!
Update August 20: Apparently our friends in the east are reading about us here, because they heard we were reading their boards and checking out http://stonerrock.borda.ru/. Greetings, friends! Maybe we’ll release some demos and rare tracks for you guys. Better yet, help us get over there for some shows! We got some other friends we’d love to bring with us.
